Portland Advertising Federation

PAF – Celebrating 100 year of setting the standard for the Creative, Design, and Media Community.  You’d think New York or San Francisco, not Portland, was this country’s first club of that kind. In 1906, a group of business and professional leaders put their heads together to form an ad club, establishing Portland as a leader in the creative business community. 100 years, at least 76 presidents, and three name changes later, the Portland Advertising Federation, now known as the PAF, is one of the strongest ad clubs in the country.

PAF is member inclusive, including all disciplines in communication arts: advertising agencies, media partners (radio, TV, and print), interactive communication, and client-side marketing professionals. Each Executive Director and each Board of Directors makes their mark on the progress and future of PAF. Current Executive Director Jamie Sexton is working with the Board and Executive Committee on an aggressive marketing approach for PAF that includes re-branding, value-driven educational programs, new member development, and outreach to the member community.

Each year, in honor of Portland’s status as the City of Roses, PAF honors the best ad creative work to come out of Oregon.   Since the first Rosey was awarded in 1957, the event has evolved into the Northwest creative community’s premier bacchanalia.  The emphasis is on showcasing the year’s best creative communications achievements and mingling with the people behind the work.  My Bartender was honored to be the exclusive bartending service for the 2010 Rosey Awards, held at the Henry V Event Center on NE MLK Blvd in December 2010, which had over 300 industry attendees and dignitaries.
